Installing New Font: Error

When I download new fonts and try to install them, I receive the error
message: file is in use and cannot be replaced. Wait until Windows is
finished using the file, then try again. How is Windows 'using' the file and
how do I install the font?

Thanks!!

Yes it includes the file name of the font, for example, albertus.ttf...

any ideas?

Microsoft offered instructions on how to install a new font for Microsoft
Office applications. At the end of those Microsoft instructions, it gave me
a link to this Microsoft Office Online Discussion site and said to post a
question if there were problems installing the font. The font will be
available to use in all Microsoft Office Applications once it is installed.
