I created an installation ".mst" file using the Office 2003 Resource Kit.
With that .mst file, I can install, with no problems, Office 2003 on my
Windows XP boxes. But, it will NOT install properly on Windows 2000 boxes. It
installs, but, if anyone who's not an administrator, which is the case for
all of my staff, clicks one of the Office icons, the dreaded Office install
screen shows up for over a minute. The application does finally come up, but,
this install screen shows up consistently, on any
Win2K PC. Can someone help me with this? Why is it doing this. I've given
FULL rights to the "user" account for the Microsoft Office folder, both with
NTFS and in the registry. Any administrator who tries to execute one of the
Office apps. opens the app. right up, no problems, no install screen.
Thanks.
