Installing Office 2007

My operating system in XP
I have Office XP on my machine
I just purchased Office 2007

1. Will it run properly with XP?
2. Do I have to uninstall Office XP before installing Office 2007?

1) Yes provided Winxp is updated to latest sp
2) Not usually, you select the option to upgrade
NB If you use Outlook there are some other hoops that are reccommended
