Installing Office 97 upgrade in new computer

D

Dottie

I tried to install Office 97 in my new pc (windows xt).
It does not recognize the newer version of Works,
therefore I can't install it. What can I do. I don't
have any old software, but if I can copy a file from my
old computer, that might help, but which one?

Dottie,
Since you do not have a qualifying product to install your Office 97 upgrade to your new Windows XP computer, you will need to purchase a new Office 2003 version, not an upgrade, but full version.
If you can locate the Office version you used to install Office 97 (upgrade) use it.
