Installing Office 97

R

Richard Snow

I installed office 97 on my new computer. The computer
is asking for a 25 digit ID number from the label on the
back of the CD case. My number on the back of the CD
case is 11 digits. How do I install this software on
Windows XP?

Maybe it asks for a Windows XP / Office XP product key. Sure you have the
right cd inserted?

When you first installed your Office 97 on your old computer, you should have been given a 20 digit Product ID#. You were probably prompted to write it down. You are given a new Product ID when install the software on a new computer. Hope that helps...That's the only number related installation I can think of even close to 25 digits.
