Installing Office XP Professional

I bought Office 95 Professional, upgraded to Office 98
Professional, and then upgraded to Office XP
Professional. I have been loading Office upgrades and the
upgrade has been accepting MS Works that came with the
computer as the program that I am upgrading from. I have
ordered a new computer but it does not come with MS
Works. I do not have the Office 95 3.5" disks. Will I
still be able to load the Office XP Professional without
the original Office 95 disks? If not, what do I need to
do to load Office XP Professional.

You mean upgraded to Office 97? Office 98 was written for the Mac platform.

If you have your Office 97 disks, you can use those to qualify for the
upgrade. During the installation process, put in your 97 disk when it asks
for a qualifying product. Once verified, put back in the Office XP disk and
continue the installation.

I upgraded to Office 97 from Office 95. My Office 97
disk is an upgrade from Office 95. I do not have the
Office 95 disks anymore.

disk is an upgrade from Office 95. I do not have the
Office 95 disks anymore.


As Milly said, the Office 97 disc should work when the Office XP setup asks
for qualifying media.
