Installing SharePoint Team Service on Project 2002

When I enter all the appropriate data (all port numbers,
URL's and names are verified)on the Add Server
information page of Managing SharePoint Team Services I
get the error dialog box with the 5 reasons described in
KB article 331971. All five reasons were individually
verified. I contacted Microsoft to get the Hotfix, which
I applied and it didn't fix the problem. I went through
all the KB articles, white papers and Tip papers that I
could find, and I still can't add a server to my STS list.
I can get to the STS features (Admin and Document/issues)
by specifying the Port numbers with the server name.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
