Installing the Server Again/Gary

A

Ania

Hi all,
I got Gary’s book a couple of days ago and I think its
great. I just have a question. I have installed every
thing on one server for Demo and its working just fine.
Now Im supposed to install Project on a new server and use
an existing SQL server. How do I connect the Project sever
to the SQL server. Do I just add the SQL server name when
installing STS? Do I create a new data base on the SQL
server to be used by the Project server? How about the
accounts?... Please give me as much information as you
can. I don’t want to mess things up again.
Thanks,
Ania

Ania:

When you do a 2-server installation, follow the instructions in chapter 5
and simply provide the name of the SQL server during the installation
prompts. Make certain you've taken care of all the requisite steps and have
your domain accounts available as well as an SA-level account for the SQL
server.
