Installing

C

ClerkSteven

I am wondering if I need to delete the old version of Office in order to
install Office Professional 2003.

Nope. It isn't necessary to remove the older version. However, be
advised that the newer installation will "take over" some things such as
desktop icons. If you want to get to the "older" version, you'll have to
navigate your way there, the hard way.

Hi Steve,

FWIW, note that the newsgroups are accessible from a variety
of interfaces via websites and news servers
(including Microsoft's news://msnews.microsoft.com)
with folks using various tools to read and write
messages, including web browsers and MS Outlook Express

Only those folks who are accessing through the
Microsoft Communties interface, such as
http://microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx
would see [Yes] [No] buttons. There is no
requirement to use that interface to access or use
or 'maintain' the newsgroups.
