Interactive Spreadsheets

We would like to use an interactive ss in a pp. However, is there someway
where when you click on the spread sheet you don't get the background, noise
if you will, of the speadsheet. We'd like to be able to change/update data
with out the unnneccessary visuals.

The only actions you can apply to embedded Excel spreadsheets are open and
edit, both of which open the Excel Application.
