I have just installed office 2000 but disc 2 with publisher etc would not install. Disc 1 was fine. I have win xp and only have a cd/rw. I have looked at other posts here but no solution has been found. I have nortons and disabled that too. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am pulling my hair out!

It copied for so long then came up with `cannot copy onto this drive` or something like that. Anyway it wouldnt let me do it, so I gave up.

It's helpful to know what happened when you tried certain things, in order to troubleshoot. Based on the fact the CD wouldn't copy successfully, I believe you either need to use a non-CD-RW drive, like the article suggests, or try ordering a new CD, per the support article.

Hope that helps--and please post back if one of those works for you.
