If this is not the right place to post this question, please direct me to
the appropriate location.

When I reboot my computer, I get a window that says-- Do you want to
continue running scripts on this page? I always choose no, just because.

Can anyone tell me why this pops up and what it means and how I can stop it
from happening?

No it's not. This is an OFFICE group, as in the title. Did you try to
find an IE group? You would have a MUCH better chance if you used a
newsreader instead of the horrible web interface.
