Internet Explorer does not follow links

My copy of Windows Explorer 6.0 has recently developed a problem where it
selectively decides which links it will pursue. Some links work without
problem but others simply bring up a white IE screen and wait! Links from
Outlook are similar.
Indeed the New Question page I am accessing now was not accessible via my
IE. I have reset all my internet /security settings to their default settings
but to no avail.
Possibly a coincidence but I did reinstall Office 2000 at about the time
the problem occured. Any thoughts on this problem would be appreciated

I believe that you have not posted to the right forum! Here we speak
about Microsoft Infopath a program of the office 2003. I Think your
post has to be in a microsoft ie forum not here.
