Traumatized Tiiu

I can see the clip art and auto shape on my pdf file, yet when I print both
are missing...WHY?
I have run the design checker and all seems to be fine. They are not over
the edge, etc. etc.
I'm desperate here and going to print in two days !
Please help.

Thank you for your reply.... EVERYTHING is a new problem since I just got
Vista and just got Publisher 2007. They do not print fine. Other pdfs
appear fine, just the ones that I have included clip art and auto shapes do
not.

I can see the clip art and the auto box shape in both the publisher file and
the pdf file. When I print either one, the clip art and text box is missing.

I've tried different layers, bring to front and back, etc. I made sure the
auto shape was hollow, etc.

I have been using Print Master the last few years, but was having problems
with clear pdfs there... I was hoping Microsoft would be better. Now I'm
completely stuck and have another 76 pages yet to prepare.

ANY help would be so much appreciated.

Okay.........I suspected that. Make sure you're running the latest drivers
for your printer. I had .pdf printing issues with my "old" printer and new
Vista computer. Since the scanner was not Vista compatible, I just bought a
new all-in-one printer two weeks ago.

My assumption is that it's an Adobe compatiblity issue. Ask someone else
(non-Vista OS) to print that file for you, see what they get.

Thank you ever so much JoAnn.....

I had an old HP printer (about 5 yrs old)... I went to the HP website and
there was indeed a new driver update.... PROBLEM SOLVED - I can now print
every part of the publisher file and the pdf.

Your suggestion was wonderful... Thank you for responding on a Sunday night
even!

:)

My printer was only about 3 or 4 yrs old and even updated drivers didn't
help. Glad you didn't have to go the same route I did. (But I'm happy having
a scanner again.)

My 8-year-old scanner, the manufacturer of which went bust in ~2001 and
for which XP drivers were not released, still works in Vista x86. I
think the only thing to kill it will be the move to x64.

I bought that scanner (Visioneer) to replace the one that wouldn't work in
XP (Visioneer). It goes without saying that I didn't buy that brand this
time. Decent scanners, like the bundled software, hate replacing it with
each OS.
