'Invisible' Hit Counter

L

LouieLouie

There are several spots that I can get to thru Google which describe the
steps needed to hide a hit counter on a web page but each method I try
places a little box with the words "Hit Counter" and one of those icons
(white box with red X) indicating that there is an image missing. Is there
actually a way to hide a hit counter so that only the 'owner' can check the
activity at the site??

Use an image editor to make a 1 pixel by 1 pixel image the same color as the background of the page.
same it with a name like hide.gif
Then insert the hit counter, tell it to use a custom image and enter the path to hide.gif

( you can name it Cinderella.gif if you want, the name doesn't matter )
