Invisible Outgoing Mail

I have noticed lately that when I have Outlook open and it checks for mail that sometimes it will automatically send (1) email message out. Now I know I haven't composed anything, but I check the sent box and the outgoing box anyway. Does anyone know what is going on here? What is being sent and where??????
