KAZ

HI I HAVE IRLANS SYNDROME AND DYSLEXIA. I'M USING OFFICE 2000 ON XP HOME. I
NEED TO BE ABLE TO SET UP MY PC SO THAT WHEN I OPEN A NEW PAGE IN WORD ETC SO
THE PAGE IS DISPLAYED IN A PALE MINT GREEN COLOUR BUT PRINTS IN WHITE! THIS
WILL MAKE IT EASIER FOR ME TO READ AND WRITE DOCCUMENTS. IRLENS MEANS THAT I
HAVE A PROBLEM WITH WRITTEN WORK MOVING SLIGHTLY AS I READ, CHANGING THE
COLOUR HELPS THE EYES TO FOCUS! I KNOW THESE CHANGES CAN BE MADE , I JUST
DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE THEM!!!!!!!!!! ANY HELP IS MUCH
APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kaz,

From the Windows control panel, select the 'Display' icon, then choose the 'Appearance' tab, then the 'Advanced' button.

In the next screen, double click on the 'Window Text' box and choose
'color 1', then 'other' and find a sample color you like and click
'Add to Custom Colors' (Red 210, Green 232, Blue 215 - for example is a pale green). Click on the new color square you just added,
click OK, then OK again if you like the sample or go back to Color 1.

Click on the 'Themes' tab and then 'Save As' and give your new color set a name, then Okay, then start Word.
