Is there a way to electronically "shred" mail in Outlook?

M

Mike McKinney

On occasion, my customers want to totally destroy a mail message - just
deleting the message in Outlook isn't enough because of the Exchange behavior
of keeping messages around for a while. Is there a way to "shred" these
messages?

Hold down SHIFT while you delete the message. That will cause Outlook to
delete the message and bypass the Deleted Items folder (and thus Deleted
Items Recovery).
