how do you insert a song downloaded from itunes into a
powerpoint 2000 presentation

Click on Insert, Object, Create from file, find the file
and select it.

Glenna, thank you so much for taking the time to help.
And your advice seems to be a good start. But during the
slide show it seems that it will require me to click on
it which will advance to the next slide rather than play
it and if I click on it it opens and displays the itunes
program. It may be that this is the best I can get but I
was hoping for an immediate playing of the music behind
the slide when I advance to that slide. Any further
thoughts. Again, than you so much for trying to help.

Hi Steven,

Can you use the media settings under custom animation?
You should be able to set it to automatically "open
object" which will probably open your itunes player and
start playing the tune.

You can also try Action Settings if you want to click on
it.
