i had to reinstall office xp standard and have lost the product key that has
to be entered in the boxes.... how do i find out what they were?

If I understand you correctly, you have Office XP installed and need
to find which product key was used on which box. If that is correct,
you can download Belarc Advisor from
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html and it will tell you the
product key on that PC.
