Jpeg images disappear...

I have a client who uses Publisher 2002 SP3, fully updated. In the last
week, she opens existing Publisher files and certain images are missing from
the documents. Instead of the image that you expect to see, you can click on
what appears to be a placeholder where the image was. If you go to print
preview the missing images appear as if they were always there. If you print
the document or go back to where you edit the document, the images are gone.
The build number, if it helps, is 10.6308.6735.

Nothing new has been installed or anything changed since this has started
happening from what I can tell. I've checked and there is good network
connectivity to where all the necessary information is stored. I'm not sure
what the next troubleshooting step as far as this program is concerned is.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

What happens if you go to...

It is set to detailed display. Changing it to something else doesn't change
anything.

It is probably your video driver, try this
Slide the acceleration down on your adapter, control panel, display folder, settings
tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab. If this solves your issue check with the
manufacturer's web site of your graphics card for an updated driver.

Thanks, Mary. I tried turning the hardware acceleration down and then opened
a publisher document. The situation did not resolve. Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Did you turn it down all the way? Try that and if it works, start
turning it back up one notch at a time until it no longer works.
