Junk email filter sometimes filtering Safe Senders

Hello

I am an intermediate computer user running Vista and Outlook 2007. I am
somteimtes finding email being sent to the junk email folder from senders on
my safe list.

Current settings;

-Junk email options set to "Safe List Only"
-Under Safe Senders "also trust email from my contacts" IS checked
-Safe Senders list contains several wildcard domains (example *@hotmail.com)
-I have nothing in "Safe Recipitents", "Blocked Senders" or "International"
-Vista and Outlook are up to date

Other possible relevant information;
-In addition to my Inbox I have a Work Inbox.
-I have two mail rules set up
1) email sent to specified addresses, copied to 'Work Sent' folder
2) arriving email from specified addresses, moved to 'Work Inbox'
-Under 'My Contacts' I have some additional folders, but mistaken junk email
has also been from my primary contacts.

It does not seem to have any pattern for when email is mistaken for junk. I
have been searching and reading but unable to find solution or similar
problem.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!

If you have any entries like *@hotmail.com, then they are incorrect. The
correct way to specify an entire domain is simply name the domain or specify
@domain (i.e., hotmail.com or @hotmail.com). The Safe Senders list doesn't
support wildcard characters.
