KB896424 messing up print function

I have noticed that Outlook Express just printed the line under my name after
installing the KB896424 update for my Windows 2000 Professional.
It also affects printing text documents from Word and Excel, Notepad and
WordPad.
It does not seem to affect printing when photos or drawings are included in
the document.
I have removed the KB89... and the problem disappears. Once I install it
again it happens over again.
Removing the KB89.. every time i need a print from Word is really a hard way
to operate...
Printing from my image editing software works OK and unaffected. So does
programs from Adobe.
Will we see a new patch from MS or is there any good advice to solve the
problem on my installation?
