keep formatting when importing new data

I have formatted a project file a certain way (different colors on gantt bars
and things of this nature). I now want to delete all the current data and
replace it with imported data from Access. When I do this I lose the
formatting. Is there away to keep the formatting. Or can I import data into
an already formatted blank Project file. Thanks.

Hi,

Formatting is stored as part of the View and each View when used is copied
to your project file. SO, a fresh import into a new file will have a
different copy of your original view.

However, if you format a view as you want it (and via View, More Views you
can create new ones) you can:

Select Tools, Organizer and copy the views you want to see in all projects
to the Global.Mpt file. Now when you import fresh data into a new file you
will see all views in the Global.Mpt file which will now include the edited
views you copied using the Organizer.
