Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop Hi, hope someone can help me out. As a former Outlook-User I am used to keep outgoing mails in the mail-out box until I click on the button "send/receive". Unfortunately once i have clicked on "send" for a just written e-Mail, Entourage puts the mail in the oubox and instantly sends the mail.
I would rather like to keep all my mails in the outbox until the momend I decide to send all mails in the outbox.
How can this be done with Entourage. Is there any possibility except working "offline"?

Best regards and thanks for any input.

Simply choose "Send Later" from the Message menu. There's also a toolbar
icon for that command; if it is not visible by default, add it by
right-clicking the toolbar and choosing "Customize Toolbar".

If you hit "Send Later", the message is placed in the Outbox, where it
remains until you hit the Send/Receive button, or until a schedule to
send all messages is run. By default, the "Send and Receive All"
schedule is set to run at predefined time intervals; to disable or
change this schedule, go to Tools>Schedule and make the necessary
modifications.

Dear Michael,

oh me oh my ... sometimes things are that easy. Believe it or not, I have spent hours figuring out why the heck I could not find to do so. I even checked the symbols toolbox, but now I know that I have had to first select "e-mail", and only afterwards I could find the icon to send later!

And I checked a lot of the online-help manual but did not find any hint how to send later in the German version.

So thanks a lot for your patience and not bashing me for asking "dumb questions".

Best regards,
Ulrich

Hi Ulrich,
So thanks a lot for your patience and not bashing me for asking "dumb
questions".

Not a dumb question at all! And bashing users is not our modus operandi
in this newsgroup.

By the way, there is also a German newsgroup for Microsoft Office for
Mac, which you can find at microsoft.public.de.softwarefuer.macintosh.
You can find instructions on how to access newsgroups with Entourage
here: <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/support_options/subnews.html>
You can also keep posting your questions in here; the choice is up to you.
