Keeping track of recipients who have read e-mail

eI am wondering if there is a better way to keep track of recipiants who have
read their e-mail messages. I know that you can have each individual
response and generate a message back. I am sending bulk e-mails and do not
want an individual response from each recipient. I would like to have them
in some sort of list and have the list populate when they respond that they
have read their e-mail. Any suggestions?

There's no way to do this. No method is ever guaranteed to record when a
message is read. Besides, "read" doesn't necessarily mean "viewed by a
person". It means only that it was opened by a mail program.
