Kerning

How do I type a half-space (kerning) using a keyboard shortcut?

I've done it before, years ago, in Word. Am now needing to do it in
Powerpoint.

I thought it was something like SPACE + SHIFT OR CTRL OR ALT, but none of
them work.

Does anyone know?

Cheers

PowerPoint does not do text kerning.

You can do it in Word, copy the text, and in PPT use Edit/Paste Special/Word
Object. Kind of a pain if you need to edit the text later, though.

(Original post is lost on my server. That's why I respond to a response.
Sorry!)

MS Office does most things well, and better than many other packages.
Still, there are some quite prominent flaws, one of which is kerning in
the presentation module. If you really need kerning, use OpenOffice Impress!

Oh, no worries.

I agree. PPT's text handling is abysmal in many ways, kerning being probably
the most noticeable.

I didn't realize Impress would do kerning. Very cool.
