Keyboard Character Changes

Suddenly my keyboard changed and the @ symbol is now on the cap 2 key. The
double quotes symbol is on the ' and @ key and the pound symbol has
disappeared altogether. I am not sure how this happened. If anyone can help I
would be most grateful

You probably have US and UK keyboards defined and you have inadvertently
switched them. Check Windows regional settings.

Toggle/cycle between keyboards with Alt-Shift.
