keyboard troubleshooters

When typing question marks or commas the letter e appears and the number keys
do not work on the number pad.

Sometimes Word or Windows will 'switch' keyboard layouts.

In the Windows control panel see if unselecting then reselecting
the correct keyboard layout in Keyboard/Locale helps. If you
have the Keyboard chooser in the system tray with 2 keyboards
selected you may see that the choice has moved down one 'notch'
there.
