Label Report with line items

I really need help as I am starting to think this is not possible with
MS access. The following is an example of how I need my labels to
look:

Rel. #: 45 Rel. Date: 06/27/2006
Part #: 238hf433
Job #: Dash #: Qty:
------------------------------------------------
54290 4839 2
54290 4872 3
54347 4528 1
TOTAL: 6

The Rel. # and Rel. Date come from a table called ReleaseMaster and the
line item fields (as well as part number) are from the table
ReleaseItems. The query would probably be based on only one release
number at a time (for example by using a prompt as criteria). Each
release number contains several part numbers. Each part number needs
to be a separate label. Each part number can have unlimited line items
(this example shows 3). If a label runs out of room, the content needs
to spill on to the next label without losing any data. The last item
on each label will be a total of the quantities of the line items. I
have only seen how to make simple labels such as address labels, but
when it comes to labels with line items I have had no luck whatsoever.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried this using sub
reports and by using grouping but have just not gotten it to come out
right. NOTE: I want to create these labels on Avery 1" x 2-5/8"
minisheet paper. The link for this paper is here:

Thank you so much for your help!

If I were you I would use Microsoft Word and do a MailMerge. I never had a
problem with it.

What exactly is a mail merge? Does it pull information from an Access
database? Thanks!

In Microsoft Word, select Tools--->Leters and Mailings--->Mail Merge Wizard
from the pull-down menu bar, and follow the instructions. You will need to
create a database table and a form letter. You can place the various fields
in the table anywhere on the letter. Look up 'Mail Merge Wizard' in the
Microsoft Word Help file for exhaustive detail.

Good luck,
