Any TrueType or Type 1 (PostScript) font in Word can be scaled to any size
from 1 point to 1,638 points, in half-point increments. There are nominally
72 points to the inch, so 3" type would theoretically be 216 points, though
you'll find that a lot of that is "leading" (line spacing). Type the size
you want in the font box and press Enter.
