Greetings - Curious to know if anyone has experience with placing or
inserting something such as a laser point or flickering light point into
graphics (e.g. maps) that have been inserted into Powerpoint slides.

Regards & Tnx in advance... -\hbomedic

Don't know the exact effect you want, but this might work.

On top of the map, insert an autoshape at the desired point. Make it
the shape and color you desire.

Use custom animation to make it appear in the desired manner (appear,
zoom/fly-in, etc), when you want it (timed / mouse click).

If your version of PPT is one of the newer ones with the larger number
of animation effects, cause it to animate again "after previous" using
the flicker or flashbulb effect to make it "flicker", timing the length
of this animation based on a number of flickers or until you're ready
(like until you click the mouse).

This would lend itself more to identifying a point on a map, rather
than the effect of light shining on a shiny piece of metal. Using a red
colored dot along a custom motion path could replicate a laser pointer.
