Leave Copy on Server

I have unchecked the Leave Copy on Server option at least four times within
the past week and it mysteriously comes back each time.

[Tools | Options | Mail Setup | Send Receive | Edit | Account Properties |
Advanced | Leave a copy of messages on server]

I don't think I had this problem earlier because it's only been within the
past week that I've been getting notices from my ISP that my mailbox is
filling up.

How can I get this thing to delete each message it downloads?
