Levelling across multiple projects using project server 2003

Dear All,

I am new to this forum, and am hoping there is someone on here who can
shed some light for me.

I have receently setup projects server 2003 with PWA.

I would like to know how to levell across multiple projects. I have
read past articles from this group on the subject, where it has been
stated that you must have all projects open to level. I can appreciate
this is tru when working just with Projects Professional, but find it
hard to believe I must have all projects open to be able to do this
with project server, especially as we will have upto 40 projects
running at one time, and all using the same shared resource pool.

Very grateful for some help on this.

In the future, please post your Project Server questions in the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is closing
down. To answer your question, what you read in this newsgroup is true. If
you wish to level an overallocated resource across multiple projects, you
must open every project to which the resource is assigned at least one task.
