Licenses

Hi,

Can you tell me if the licensing scheme for MS Project 2003 is similar to
what was introduced with MS Project 2002?

ie.,
One (1) application license per user of Professional;
One (1) SQL Server and one (1) Project Server CAL per device accessing
Project;
One (1) Project Server licencse per installation regardless of configuration.

Is this still the case for 2003?

/Spiro.

Licenses are:

MS Project Server 2003 license
MS Windows Server 2003 license
Windows SharePoint Services is included

MS SQL 2000 with Analysis Services license
MS Windows Server 2003 license (if on a second server)

Each "MS Project 2003 Professional" product has the (a) "MS Project 2003
Professional" license and (b) a PWA (Project Web Access) Client Access
License (CAL).

Each PWA (Project Web Access) user requires a Client Access License (CAL).

(Generics do not require a license. "Materials" do not require a license.
"Inactive" users do not require a license.)

?

.

Plus:

Windows 2003 Server CALs, per device or per user.

SQL 2000 CALs. Project Pro connects directly to SQL 2000 to do its thing but
I'm not sure if PWA does as well. We bought a SQL 2000 per-processor license
to cover this issue.
