Limit Access to Project Tasks

We're in the process of setting up Project Server 2002 and
our company has made the decision to deploy Project
Professional to all members of the IT organization. We
want to limit what the various members can see of any
given project to only those tasks they are responsible
for. I haven't been able to discover a method to do this
through Project Professional.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chas:

There's no reason to deploy Project Pro to everyone unless everyone is
running projects. Project Web Access is fine for viewing project
information.

Gary -

I recognize that, as do other people within my
organization. However, management has decreed that we
provide Project Pro to all IT resources.

Based on that assumption, I am trying to determine whether
it is possible to limit what any particular resource can
view in a project plan using Project Pro and if so, how.
If I can't, then that is an answer as well.

Thanks,

Charles

Chas:

You can limit access to the extent that permissions within Project Server
allow. The possibilities are quite extensive, but no guarantee that you'll
be able to put a limit on everything you want.
