Limitation on *.mpp File size to save onto Project Server '07

Hello All,

Is there a limitation on the size of file that can be saved onto
Project Server '07? I'm currently getting the below error message

"Your ACProjectSave job failed. Its current state is Failed. It was
0% complete. It entered the queue at 09/09/2008 10:40:57.

To get more information about the job failure, please go to Project
Web Access. Select Personal Settings from the left menu. Then select
My Queued Jobs.

The errors returned from the queue are as follows:
Error ID: 1042
Error ID: 26000

Detailed error below - send it to the administrator for more detailed
troubleshooting.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
<errinfo>
<general>
<class name="ProjectHasNoWriteLock">
<error id="1042" name="ProjectHasNoWriteLock"
uid="23d570a7-272d-48af-b566-759d870fa107" />
</class>
<class name="Queue">
<error id="26000" name="GeneralQueueJobFailed"
uid="aa5bca54-2ab6-44ff-8f69-801f132fe597"
JobUID="afda183e-02e2-4eae-88e2-87e569036138"
ComputerName="MCLNPMPS01" GroupType="ACProjectSave"
MessageType="Byte[]" MessageId="740" Stage="" />
</class>
</general>
</errinfo>"

When I decrease the size of the file it saves with no problem. Thought
someone out there could help confirm this theory for me.

Thanks.

Cole:

I just got the same error. My project save was stuck in the queue at
99%Complete for about an hour before I finally stopped & restarted the
Project Server service via Central Admin. THEN I got the same email as you
got; same message, same error codes. And my email also said "0% complete".

But this is a project that's been saved to the server many times, so I would
not suspect the project size. However, I'll shrink it if that'll get it
saved.

AND last night we installed the Infrastructure Updates on this Project
Server 2007. I do not know if the two are related.

Does your Project Server have the Infrastructure Updates applied?

I am having the same issue. I have a MPP file size of over 7MB and it hangs
to save and publish. I reduced the size and it saves and publishes. Any one
found the solution?

yes - I have the same issue with a 17 MB file AFTER the IU update.
Also, the IU update has caused calculation errors with BCWS and Earned
Value fields.
