line spacing?

When i hit enter it seems as though it wants to skip two spaces instead of
one. I looked at the line spacing and it was set to multiple, so i changed it
to single...and it still jumps a space. Is thereany other setting or known
reason why this would be doing this?

The space you get when you press Enter (creating a new paragraph) is
determined by the Spacing Before/After setting, not the line spacing.

Have you looked at the Spacing before / Spacing after settings for the
particular paragraph style?

If you feel that any of the above is incorrect,
inappropriate or offensive in any way,
please ignore it and accept my apologies.

Change spacing after to 0 points. If you need more help, please say
which version of Word you have.
