Link Search hits to a specific page

Hi;

Using FP2000.

How do You link to a specific page from a search engine hit?

Meaning; when a person uses a search engine to find our site I would like
the link they click on to go to page B not the home page.

Microsoft knowledge base hasn't been much help.

Thank You.

Since there's no way to know what the link was they clicked on it would be
extremely difficult to redirect them to another page without also
redirecting people that just typed in the URL from their browser. You might
be able to create an ASP script that looks at the incoming referrer and if
it's something like Google, Yahoo, MSN etc redirect them to a new page but
you'd never be sure to get them all.

Why would you want to do this?

The search engine will link to whatever pages it has spidered and
indexed. Unless every page in your site uses server side scripting (.asp
or .php etc.), you cannot do anything about this.
With server-side scripting, you can use script to look at the referring
page and redirect to whichever page you want if you detect it is from a
search engine - but then the customers do not get the pages they were
looking for.
