I've searched all over for the answer to this one, but apparently I'm
not smart enough to find the answer.
I've built a simple web site in Frontpage 2000. I used Themes to
simplify building the overall looks and I used the Navigator window to
simplify the menu creation. The problem is, I would like to have 2
links included in the menu available on every page that link to
external web sites. I would prefer that when the user clicks on those
links, it spawns a new browser window and takes the user to that
external site.
The problem is, it seems to me that in order to get a link included in
the automatically built menu (built by the navigation windows layout) I
have to have a physical page on my site. I can't seem to find a way to
get the automatically generated menu to include links that don't exist
on my site.
For the time being, I created 2 pages and just put a redirect meta tag
in each of them, but the problem there is that they don't spawn a new
browser window. It just redirects. AFAIK, there's no way to make a
redirect spawn a new window.
My guess is that this is either a simple problem and I'm just not
looking at it from the right angle, or this is not possible in
FrontPage 2000.
Thanks for any hints anyone can give.
