link to range in Excel wb from which one cell would be returned

I know how to link Power Point to a specific cell in Excel, but I want to
link to a range from which one cell would be selected randomly. I am setting
up a Jeopardy!-like game for an IT class. I want clicking on the "100" square
under the "Hardware" category to activate a hyperlink to 1 randomly selected
question out of say, 20 that are in a column of the worksheet. Many thanks
for assistance.

hoping you will share with me hot to link PPT to a specific cell in Excel.
