link two custom date columns

I have 2 custom "date" cloumns. ( date 1, and date 2)
I would like to set "date 2 " to be linked to date 1 column. That means
when i enter the date in date 1" let say Oct 01, 2005, the column for "date
2" by defult to set 2 days after which is Oct 03, 2005
Please advise if this is possible or any other solutions

Hi,

Use a formula in Date2
Use the Dateadd function if the 2 days are any days, ProjDateAdd if they are
working days.

Hello Jan and thank you for your advise
I plugged in ProjDateAdd(Date1,2) and the results is the same day that
appears in the Date 2 column.
Obviousely I am doing somthing wrong. Please advise Thank you

Hi Majid,

The formula you note adds 2 *minutes* to the date in Date1. Multiply the
minutes by the number of hours per day you defined in Tools>Options and you
should be all set.
