Link Video with relative poaths

We are trying to link video and when we do it always uses an absolute path
in the video.

For example we have a ppt open on a file share, we link video, save it and
then try to put the folder on a laptop it does not work because the link is
referencing the fileshare.

When i edit the link it does not give an option to fix the link.

So we would like to put the video file in the same folder or subfolder and
link to it relatively.

Any tips are appreciated.

Put your videos and presentation in the same folder on your desktop machine.
Then delete the videos and then reinsert them. Now, move the folder to the
laptop and run from there. The links won't break.
