Linked and embedded objects

I have a linked object and an embedded object in my
PowerPoint presention. I can double click on these
objects and pull up the link on the slides when in sorter
view but when I run the slide show and I double click on
the links it just takes me to next slide. How do I get to
my linked and embedded object from my slide show?

HELP
