Linked Task dates not changed

Good day gentlemen ;

First of all , it is my pleasure to join pros .

Secondly , I’m an IT user support Admin and I’ve one of th
user facing strange problem with MS prject .

Brief Problem description :

When the user creates new tasks and links them together -> dates o
tasks following the first task won’t change and he has to chang
the dates manually .

I’ve tried playing with some MS project configuration to avoi
some of default settings problem but no luck .

Your help is highly appreciated .

Sounds like the calculation settings have changed to manual.
Try hitting the F9 key or go to tools menu/options/calculation tab and set
calculation to automatic.

I agree with Jack. One more thing to check is the [% complete] for the tasks
that need to be linked since tasks with (100% complete) will not change after
linking such tasks. If you still need to change on such tasks then you have
to change the %complete to zero for instance then link the tasks together and
then you can return back the % complete as needed.
