Linked Visio Diagram doesn't print properly

I've pasted a link from my visio diagrams to Word, but the text on the
diagrams prints with tiny vertical lines on the first letter of each of the
words. Those lines do not appear when I preview the document, but appear on
the print. The font I'm using is Arial, and I've tried changing the font,
but that does not change anything. When I print straight from Visio, the
text prints normally without those lines, but when I try to put the diagrams
in Word, then it prints with lines.

Help!!. How do I get rid of those lines??

I don't know how to fix the problem permanently, but you could try placing
the diagram as a picture...either first save-as from Visio to WMF or copy it
and Edit-->Paste special as a picture into Word.

What update (build) and version of Word and Visio are you
using?

Do these visio items have more than one page or layer?

What were the steps you used to place a link in Word?
