Linking projects

The Project 'help' file tells me how to get rid of linked dependencies from
other projects. But I can't figure out how to create them. So, if I have a
task in Project A - and I want to make a task in Project B a predecessor -
how do I do that? .

Hi
Insert both projects into a "master" file (blank file then use Insert,
Project) then link the tasks as if they were in one project; save both files
when closing the master.

Here's a step-by step guide:

To do this:

In PWA (Project Centre) select the projects you want to link tasks from
alongside the project you want to link them to. Hold CTRL-Key to select
multiple Projects

Click on "Open..." in PWA to open the selected project plans in MS
Project Professional (MSPRO)

Open both projects by clicking the + sign to the left of each Task Name

Select the row number for the milestone/task you are going to link FROM

Hold the Ctrl key and select the row number for the milestone/task you
are going to link TO

Click Link Tasks on the toolbar

Once you have completed creating all the necessary links, select File |
Close

*IMPORTANT* Click NO when asked to save the project you just created

You will then be prompted to save changes to the first and subsequent
projects in the list.

Click YES to each one.
