linking shows

would like to end a show giving a viewer a list of other seprate
presentations and allow them to select one with a button push. Can it be
done?

Yes it can. Go to Slide Show > Action buttons.

This will give you the option to select a button that you can draw on your
slide then link to any number of things - including another PPT.
