linking to summary tasks

Yes, there are issues linking to summary tasks.
Some say "NEVER" link to summary tasks.
Issues include:
Circular dependencies
precedence tracking
Best practice is to avoid them as the risks are greater than the rewards.

I'm with Jack and John... don't do it. Same thing for assigning resources to
summary tasks, don't do that either.
