listtool.exe won't install. I am runnig sp2

I am running Windows Xp Sp2. I am having trouble installing Office 2003. I
ran the program listtool.exe but it won't run. What do I do next. i have
the necessary drive space available

Greg:

There have been a number of complaints and issues being bandied about
the Internet regarding SP2. I started loading SP2 "in pieces" and somewhere
along the line, my VirtualDrive version 7 quit working and the only solution
was to upgrade that particular software package. I suggest making notes on
the exact behavior of the Office installation issues (and send them to MS).
I, personally, would degrade back to my base XP, load Office, then start the
SP2 installation again.

I get the error 1317 Can't create D:\Program Files, verify path and that
I have permission to update What do I do to correct this?
